We are currently a K-6, 4 section per grade building, in a school district with 6 elm. sites. Our school day runs from 8:15AM to 2:40PM. Issue I. Our noon schedule is set up with grade levels entering the cafeteria every 15 min.. As children finish, they are dismissed by paraprofessionals and go outside to spend the remainder of their 40mins. under the supervission of paraprofessionals. Can your schedule offer an alteritive to this? Issue II. Prep time for teachers: Teachers have two half-hour blocks each day covered by specialists in Art: 55min. on 10 day rotation; Music, Phy Ed and Media-library 30min. every 5 days. This random prep-time does not facilitate group, grade level planning. Does your schedule accomodate prep-time in a different way? Please respond directly with comments and or your scxhedule as an attachment. Charles L. Kindgren Good art is that which makes life more Media-Librarian Jefferson Elm.
