Sandy, if you haven't read the Spring '94 issue of _Texas Library
Journal_ there is an excellent article in the "Profession" section.  I
don't remember the author name off hand but she wrote about how she "hooked"
the community by "hooking" the children first through a very active
children's program.  I was *impressed*!  Although that was a public
library, there are ideas there that would benefit any library program.

I'm posting this to the group because I know that the library journals
are available out of state as well as within.
