How many of you are using Microsoft Works?

I write a column for the Microsoft Works in Education newsletter published by
the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). My column is
basically a Dear Abby for educators who are using Works. Usually I answer
questions for people who are having problems, but sometimes I feature
educational applications that teachers share.

My column is specific to the MS DOS world, but I am also interested in what you
are doing on Macintoshes.

Want to see you name in print? Send a question, an answer, or a suggestion to
ZEITZ@uni.edu

If you want more information about the newsletter, send a message to
ISTE@oregon.uoregon.edu.

Hope to hear from you,

I found that garbled characters can also be caused by a mismatchh of modems.
We have been purchasing some of the 14.4 K baudmodems from MacWarehouse and
have found them to emit nothing but grabled characters when set at less than
9600 baud. This also means that if your Internet access has different phone
number for 9600 baud, you might have to change the phone access number in your
software.
