Julie, We are using Information Finder and Grolier on our network. Both work very well and are heavily used. Students tend to use Grolier's first and then go to Information Finder for more indepth information. Grolier's is much more user-friendly for patrons - on screen commands, etc. I don't have Time Almanac but plan to purchase for next school year. We wanted to see what the yearly upgrade charges would be before we invested. I spoke to Online Computers (vendor who sells the network version) today and was able to get upgrade rates -- so next year. I have seen Time Almanac run on a Novelle network with SCSI Express for CD ROM management software -- seemed to run fine. This school has app. 6 stations. If you haven't investigated a full text magazine/newspaper index -- you might want to look at several. We use our Tom Jr. full text by Infotrac as heavily as we use our CD ROM encyclopedias. Hope that this helps! Roxanne Boyce, Librarian Johnson JHS Las Vegas, NV 89128 mez1zo@nevada.edu
