Thanks to all who answered my question: What are the top ten CD-ROM
products available for a Teacher Center/Professional Library's reference
department? The suggestions follow (not in any particular order).

Wilson's Education Index

Children's Reference Plus

Books in Print with Reviews

Mathfind: A collection of resources for mathematics reform. (Armonk, N.Y.:
The Learning Team, 1992). This is the NCTM Standards and lessons. There is
also a corresponding science disk. Two people listed this. Contact Beth
Anderson (edubeth@strauss.udel.edu) for more info.

Cliff Notes

11 Million Businesses' Phone Directory (American Business Information,
$79.)

CoreWorks and supporting fiche. Carol Simpson sent this suggestion. For
more info, send to csimpson@tenet.edu.

Grant and Foundation Index. Carolyn Mollenkopf (mollenko@umd5.umd.edu)
found this not to be cost effective, but she may reconsider.

ERIC - It was noted, however, that much of this is free off the net.

Brodart's Elementary School Collection or High School Collection.

American Econoclad's cd (no name given) used as a selection/acquisition
tool.

B&T Link - selection/acquisition tool from Baker and Taylor.
(Personal note to David: My school system is contracted with B&T for
all our books. We use Betaphones, Acquire and B&T Link.)

Thanks again. I plan to pass each message received along to the librarian
of the Teacher Center/Professional Library who asked me to post this
question.
