Date: Sat, 23 Jul 1994 10:47:27 -0400 (EDT) From: jhohn@pen.k12.va.us (Jane Trump Hohn) {{Russ, experience. The lit > erature says the hardware should be at a minimum a 486 DX-33 with 8mb RAM, inkj > et printer (for sound), double-spin CD ROM drive (at least) 14,400 baud modem. The 486 is the recommended minimum now. I have no experience with ink jet printers, but previous discussions on this list informed us that ink jets are expensive to maintain. The cartridges must be frequently changed or you must do refills yourself if there is heavy usage. Would laser printers work for your sound requirement, and if so, {{would they be more economical in the long haul? -- Jane Hohn, LMS Voice: (804) 292-5373 Nottoway High School FAX: (804) 292-3021 PO Box 45 Rt. 460 East e-mail: jhohn@pen.k12.va.us Nottoway VA 23955
