experience.  The lit > erature says the hardware should be at a
minimum a 486 DX-33 with 8mb RAM, inkj > et printer (for
sound), double-spin CD ROM drive (at least) 14,400 baud modem.


The 486 is the recommended minimum now.  I have no experience
with ink jet printers, but previous discussions on this list
informed us that ink jets are expensive to maintain.  The
cartridges must be frequently changed or you must do refills
yourself if there is heavy usage.  Would laser printers work
for your sound requirement, and if so, {{would they be more
economical in the long haul?
