TARGET -> Mastering Basic Skills

Dear LM_Netters,
  Several weeks ago I asked for input on how you and your teachers use the
Internet in teaching basic skills.  I have received many letters wanting the
results of my question, but very few responses as to how the the Internet is
used in covering basic skills in the various elementary subject areas.
I am especially interested in how electronic mail can be used in the
elementary school in teaching skills in language arts, math, reading, science,
and social studies.  I welcome both positive and negative replies to my
