Do you do much in the way of examining patterns in fairy tales: the number
three, the characters eg the helper, the hero, roles of animals, home advernture
home, different kinds of magic eg water or mirrors. Of course there many
different versions often from different countries of such fairy tales as
Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty or Little Red Riding Hood. Have small groups read
then compare the different versions of the same fairy tale.How about cumulative
tales?  Acting them out, a play given for younger kids?  Fairy tales are great
to use with kids and lend themslves to so man y activities.  These are just a
few that spring immediately to mind.
