*Educational Technology: Initiatives and Innovations* is the title of a forthcoming publication by Dr. William Bozeman and me. The book is designed to answer the question: "What are some of the successful programs and practices which utilize educational technology in schools today?" Programs may be large or small. They may involve a few students or teachers, an entire school or even an entire district. They may utilize a single technology or a wide range of educational technologies may be represented. However, the programs should be successful (by some measure) and considered worthy of replication elsewhere. Technology and school library media contacts in all 50 state departments of education were invited to nominate innovative programs in their states. The nominees have been surveyed, and some of the best will be included in the book. We are now asking for self-nominations. We are particularly interested in nominations from school library media specialists, administrators, and technology coordinators. If you feel you have an innovative program utilizing educational technologies in your school, please provide the following information and return via e-mail or snail mail by July 10, 1994, to: ********************************************************* Donna J. Baumbach University of Central Florida College of Education Instructional Technology Resource Center ED-106 Orlando, FL 32816 baumbad@mail.firn.edu ********************************************************* Be sure to include a fax number, phone number, and address where we can contact you in the next month or two for additional information. If we select your program to be included the book, we will ask you to verify the edited survey before we go to press.
