Barcoding CDs

A late response to barcoding CDs.  We have been cataloging our CDs, both
audio and CD-ROMs for quite a while now and have placed the barcode directly
on the CD (of course the label side).  We have had no problem and we can
even scan the barcode through the jewel boxes.  I would not place them on
the cases because the cases break so easily, just like the audiocassette
cases.  If you need more info, just let me know.  Oh, by the way, we use
a liquid gold marker to write the call no. and the school name on the label
as well.  Works out just fine.
