Pardon the tardiness (also redundancy and lack of attentiveness, if applicable) of this post. I don't recall seeing if the "disk/disc" discussion was resolved. I just got a new book (Microcomputers for 21st Century Educators, 3ed. by Lockard, Abrams and Many. Harper Collins Pub. ISBN 0-673-52216-4). In the glossary, both terms are defined as follows: "Disc: A data storage medium from which the computer can read, but to which it normally can not write, eg., compact disc, laser disc." "Disk: A data storage medium with both read and write capability, eg., hard disk." Hope this was useful * OR * Never mind, I'll just go back to sleep now Rick Povich ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ _ ____/ \__=__ Rick Povich l l University of Pittsburgh l [0] l Media Producer l__________l Audiovisual Department SHUTTER@VMS.CIS.PITT.EDU (814) 269-7103 Johnstown, Pa. 15904 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> < > < > < "You have to steal in order to quote" -Arthur Rimbaud > < > < > < > < "You have to steal in order to quote" -Shutter > < > < > <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
