I have had a request from one of our English teachers to see if anyone on
the net can help with the author of this poem. It, of course, was turned
in as original by a student but there is some doubt about the originality
of the piece.

Helping Hand

When the red rain comes,
and the clear rains go,
That is when
The deadly winds blow.

The grain will fall
to the barren land
and the oceans will dry
to thirstful sand.

The birds will fall
dead from the sky
and the insects will crawl
about our eyes.

The people will perish
by their own fellow kind
and all the righteous
will be led blind.

And all the evil
will strive on strong
and nothing right
will become of this wrong.

And that's when we'll need
a hand full of love
a powerful being
our god from above.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
