TARGET: Author visits

Our district hosts visiting authors as frequently as budgets and logistics
allow.  We have had some WONDERFUL experiences --- most recently Brian
Selznick, author of The Houdini Box (TX Bluebonnet winner 1993).  As we
all know, authors of the written word are not always as exciting in person
as in print.  Next week, we are hosting Will Hobbs, a YA author of several
books.  I would be interested in hearing from those of you who have had
successful visits and would be glad to post our successes in return.  Any
interest out there in cyberspace?

P.S.  Brian is a remarkable young man.  His presentation is very polished.
I sat through it 5+ times and enjoyed it again & again.  He made 15
librarians happy campers --- what more can I say?  For more info, contact
