Materials Selection Policy

Hi, I'm a grad student working on my library media certification.  Currently
I am taking a collection development class and would like some info on
current  Materials Selection Policies.  I would like to know how materials
(print and nonprint) are selected (besides teacher requests and award
winners) and who should be included in the responsiblities section.  If there
is anything out of the oridinary that is included in your policy please let
me know.  Thanks in advance.
