A major researcher in this area is Dr. Larry Amey at Dalhousie University
School of Library and Information Studies; his research has resulted in many
articles and books on criteria for success and descriptions of operations.
Larry is on leave examining combined libraries in Australia but can be
reached at COMLJA@Levels.UniSA.Edu.Au.
Dr. Shirley Aaron at Florida State University is another noted authority.
