I would like to know how school librarians balance acquisitions between popular trade books such as the "Goosebumps" series or "The Babysitters Club" books, etc. and more traditional literature such as those written by C.S. Lewis, Beverly Cleary, Roald Dahl, or Patricia Reilly Giff, etc.? Do you purchase more books that are popular mass market literature or only books that represent "good" literature or a little of both? Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
