I have Encarta and must say that the student's love it. My personal complaint is that it runs a bit slow, but the sound and motion is astounding...high quality and quite accessible to the students. I know that I have often offered faster encyclopedia cd-roms to them and they prefer Encarta. I doubt I would pay the advertised price of $395, but I have seen it available at much cheaper prices. We really like it here. To answer one of Judy's questions--yes, I think the value of having the sound and motion does make a difference between the print and the electronic versions. This is not sloppily done on Encarta. ****************************************************** Cheryl Bybee, Librarian/Learning Resources Specialist Katherine Stinson Middle School 13200 Skyhawk Drive San Antonio, TX 78249 (210)561-3615 cbybee@tenet.edu ******************************************************
