Hawaii weddings

Please excuse my posting this to the entire group, (unless you
want to consider it a mental exercise!)  We do not have a newspaper
index, and do not keep issues beyond a week.  So...  can anyone
give me the status of legislation pending in Hawaii that would
legalize homosexual weddings?  Our faculty suspects that the
bill (or whatever??) was defeated, and that the issue has been
in the news since Easter.  Any details would be appreciated.
