Maybe many of us on the LM_NET could help some of the schools that have had
flood disasters. Surely all of us have a duplicate title or two that is
pretty much unused. If we had the snail mail address of the schools that
need help we could pick out one or two schools and send one or more of our
duplicates. If schools who have suffered disasters would e-mail me, I
would be glad to compile a list of schools needing assistance. I would
then post a hit and each of you could follow your own direction in sending
a book (or more) to one or more of these schools. If you have a lot of
cash laying around, that probably would not be rejected but the book idea
is more practical. Schools who receive assistance through this manner can
do what they wish with the books that arrive.

I know this isn't much but from little acorns, oak trees grow.

So... If you have a flood or fire situation, send the following information
to me:

School Name
Mailing Address (Probably best not to use a P.O. Box)
Name of the Media Specialist in control(?)
e-mail address
Nature of the disaster
Grade Levels served

I will compile the list and post it in a few days.
