target)reading list for college bound

One of my English teachers wants an update on a list she has called
"reading list for the college bound" (fiction?).  There is no source
listed and she says she got it from her old librarian.  The old librarian
can't be located and I'd like to know who puts this list out.  I'd like
to help her with an update .  Can any one help me with the source of this
list?
