Class Rank

I am doing     research on class rank and I would like to know if any of your
schools have eliminated class rank and if so, why? What have been the effects
- positive or negative - to the elimination of class rank? Have any schools
looked at this question and decided to maintain class rank and if so, why? Has
anyone done any research on the question of class rank and self esteem? Any
comments or helpful suggestions would be very welcome!!!
