Bar codes

Hello Netters--
I have a couple of questions--

1) Is anyone still doing inventories of the books in your school library?  If
yes, why?  (We haven't done an inventory in YEARS!) I'm trying to decide
where to put the barcodes on our books when we automate and doing inventories
will determine whether the barcode goes on the outside or the inside of the
cover.  The public library never does an inventory and their barcode is on
the inside.  That seems sensible to me.
2) Is anyone using Dynix's Kid's catalog?  Do you like it?
