Reality of Life in the Library

1. Knowledge doubles every seven years.

2. 46,000 books in English published every year.

3. Nothing is permanent.

4. If you give good service, people demand more.

5. No one understands what you do.

6. Library illiteracy is rampant.

7. Circulation is consuming.

8. Junk mail is ubiquitous.

9. There is no such thing as being "all caught up".

10. A cluttered desk is a sign of disorganization.
