Wearing my PTA hat:

The PTA and our school (K-6) has been approached by 'futurekids'.
They offer, and I quote, "your child's passport to computer mastery".
The structure is 40 min classes for 12 students provided by two
teachers using 6 PCs that they bring. The pitch is that by the school
providing the space during lunch hour and after school the cost, of
the once per week class, is reduced from their normal $89/mon/student
for 50 min classes to $45/mon for 40 min classes (that is canadian
$s). As a perk, on the days that they have classes at both lunch and
afternoon, they offer to provide free instruction for learning
disadvantaged and teachers.

Since their brochure says they are in 1500 schools in 54 countries I
am hoping to get some feedback as to experiences with 'futurekids':
- quality of their program
- innovative approaches for working with them
- etc

Please respond directly to me. I'll do a 'hit' to the list if a few
people ask .. Thanks ... Peter
