None of us has forgotten. I was a senior in high school. On our way to lunch that day we heard the rumors but none of us believed them. By mid-afternoon, I was in World Affairs class and our principal's voice came over the intercom to tell us that the unthinkable had happened. We cried. This was St. Joseph's Academy, a Roman Catholic girl's school, and we had seen the first Catholic president assassinated on a street in Dallas. We went home and turned on the television and watched that shot over and over and over. Even now, 30+ years later, when I watch that motorcade, my eyes are moist. It wasn't the last assassination I saw. It was the first. Susan O.
