Answer-->Video copyright on public showing

Thank you to the 50 individuals who responded to my question about
showing videos as a cafeteria reward. 48 of you agreed that is is an
infringement of the copyright law. (Section 110(1)) I think this will
help me recapture the purpose of the instructional videos--for
instruction! I'll tread lightly and tactfully. This is an important ethical
issue, though I am not willing to die on this hill.
