Integrating the Internet into the K12 Curriculum

Dear LM_NETters:

The one question that we always get whenever we give a presentation to teachers
on using the Internet is 'But how do teachers integrate the Internet into their
curriculum?' Several publishers have also asked us this same question.  One has
even said that if we can come up with a good set of examples of Internet
integration in the k-12 curriculum, he would publish it-he said that he has
been looking around for a good list for over a year! (Might be a great way to
show administrators the importance of connectivity!!) (Interestingly - at AASL
I overheard people saying (twice) that all this stuff about the Internet is
'bunk' - there is no real place for it in a k-12 environment...)

So, lets see what we can do! If you have successfully used (or have heard of a
use for) the Internet in the k-12 curriculum, let us know about it/them. We
will organize your  ideas and see where we can go from there.  The least that
we can do is have them posted on the Mankato State University Gopher.  The most
we can do is try to get them published in a book that we are doing.  If your
idea is used we will include your name and school.
