Greetings All!
I have been receiving several requests about the bat gopher and web
that is presently under construction here at Highland Park School in
Austin, TX. We are presently working with Bat Conservation International
in an effort to provide schools with the most up-to-date bat information,
articles, research, and gif files of bats found throughout the world. But
there's much to do before all the files will be in place and what is
presently available is fairly skeletal.
I would, however, like to encourage all who are interested in receiving
information about bats to contact the Bat Conservation International here
in Austin directly. They are really great people and would be happy to
send you information. There is a membership fee to offset the cost of the
materials. But the cost is well worth the information, and all proceeds go
directly to educating everyone to the extreme importance bats play in the
entire world ecosystem. In addition, BCI has handbooks on how to build bat
houses, and they even have a great gift catalog. So if you are at all
interested in bats, drop the "Bat People" at Bat Conservation International
a line. I'll keep you all informed as to when the complete gopher and web
pages are up and running.
