Shirley, Have you received many replies to your request for information on implementing flexible scheduling? I hope that you receive many, and that you will post a HIT soon. This is my second year as Media Specialist at a small private school that is accustomed to operating on a fixed schedule. I feel that library media services would be VASTLY improved by implementation of flexible scheduling--in terms of relevancy, immediacy, and all the other benefits such scheduling offers. It will be very hard to convince the classroom teachers, however--especially since they depend on this weekly library period as part of their planning time. Any suggestions you receive from lm_net subscribers would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Doris A. Shaughnessy, L.M.S. Home: 404-992-7569 Sts.
