UGH!!!! Tell your librarians to hook up with the teachers' union. We are fortunate in Montgomery County in that the media specialists are NOT planning time for teachers. The idea is that the media specialist is on the instructional team, and teachers should be planning library skills in coordination with instructional units. As far as I know, Maryland mandates a full-time librarian in each school. With at least a part-time assistant. Thank heavens!! Tamah Graber Darnestown E.S.
