Dear Pat,
In my foggy memory from days in publishing, I think I recall "Otabind" as
the brand name of a process that is something between paperback and
hardcover--a sort of extra-flexible paperback cover that is also more
durable than paperbacks and is specially designed to open flat without
damaging the spine.
