Video input programs for Macintosh

Hi,
I am looking for information and or recommendations for a software program/
and or device which inputs video to a Macintosh computer from a source such
as the older model Cannon Xap Shot(still video camera).  Two titles which I
have seen in catalogs are Video Spigot and Computer Eyes.  I have Macintosh
LCII's with hard drives and have upgrades the memory to 6 mgs.  Will either
of these programs work on the LCII?  Does any one have any experience with
either program or would recommend an other title?  Please email me directly
