Precision One

In response to queries about conversions CDs:  I have used Precision One
for three years and found it to be an excellent, relatively painless to
use, resource for Marc records.  It's designed for K-12 schools, which is
nice, since it has a lot of "school stuff".  Also, it has a sizable
collection of Marc records for non-print materials (AV). I wrote an
article about its use that should be coming out soon in Library Talk...or
email me directly if you have specific questions.  I use the Macintosh
format, which is integrated with the Alexandria automation system
(COMPanion Co), but it originated as a DOS format.  Jacque Burkhalter
