If I remember correctly, the original statement was that R rated videos
are not educational.  The rating system used in the USA doesn't
take into account ANYTHING about educational value.  Thus, it makes
little sense to use the rating to judge the value of a movie for education.

The movie rating system is almost exclusively an indication of the level
of nudity.  No nudity is PG, some nudity is R, and explicit sex is X.  You
will find blood, gore, and violence in movies with all of these ratings.
Thus, I argue, the rating system isn't even of value to judge the
appropriateness of a movie for children.
