Security systems

It's me again!  I though I had decided on a security system for our new
high school, and the Checkpoint rep stopped by yesterday indicating that
they had a magnetic system ala 3M and Guardian.

Is anyone familiar with this system (I believe it was introduced at ALA
last summer, so realize that this is a rather hopeful request) and how
might it compare with "others you have known?"
