LM_NET: Library Media Networking
In our district, we use the student number assigned them by the district,
and it stays the same until they graduate from high school or move. But
we do not issue student cards. We have a rolodex with staff and student
barcodes at the desk - over 600 and there's room for more. Then we never
have to worry about students loosing their card or forgetting their
number. It was suggested when we first automated that we might want to
attach pictures to the rolodex cards, but we have not found this necessary.
