internet project for 6th gr enrichment

I have a couple questions for this group about a course I'm doing with
about 15 sixth grade enrichment students.  1- Is the Kidlink listserv an
appropriate one for them to join? 2-Does anyone have suggestions on
activities I might use with them? 3-Do you know of any books or other
materials that provide lessons or activities for kids on the net?  Please
respond to me directly if you can help me out.  Thanks for your time and
effort.
