A seventh grader called me over to his table to complain that the
encyclopedia didn't give any information on Elvis Presley, as his worksheet
implied it would.  Sure enough, the article before him, "Brownies," did NOT
mention Elvis Presley.  Yes? I wondered.  "How did you get here?" I
politely inquired.

He very carefully explained how he looked up the guy's name -- Elvis -- and
when he found it -- "Elves" -- it said to "see Brownies."

Sometimes I think they do control the library.  :-)
