Internet info. about books?

Fellow LM_NETTERS,
         I never seem to be able to find the time to research the net as
much as I would like to.  Perhaps some of you who are more familiar with
internet  can point me in the right direction.  I am constantly be asked
for background information on novels that are being studied in the
classrooms.
The latest are "That was then ,This is now" and " The day no pigs would
die". Where would I find this type of information on the internet?
