That should be a good start.
I looked for a suitable French newspaper for some time but wasn't as
fortunate as with the German paper-
German News, Jahres=FCbersicht at
http://www.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de/misc/germnews/ which I give as a digest to
my Modern linguists.
I'd love to know of a good French equivalent.
