GEN: cataloging CD-ROMs

Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour Astral Communications and see how
CD ROMs are made.  It was a fascinating experience!  I asked if writing on
the label with permanent marker on the CD will harm the CD.  The answer is
that it is ok to write on the label, but do not write on the underside.
You may also write on the small inner circle.  If a label is put on this
circle, it must be balanced with a label on the opposite side because of
the high speed at which the CD spins.
