RLE's

Could someone briefly inform me about the RLE ratings used on a number of
jREADER books? I am familiar with the RL or reading levels used on
readers, however I would like to know what RLE means.  For example, An I
Can Read Book called Ghosts! has 0408 RLE 1.7 on the back cover.  I would
appreciate any assistance.
