One of my kids loved Make Way for Ducklings between the ages of 1 & 3.
I'd also recommend Garth Williams Baby Farm Animals if you can find it.
Although I think they are a bit sappy, most of the teachers in my school
would love to get Marcu Pfoster's Rainbow Fish or Christmas Star.
And finally don't forget They Jolly Postman.
