Good morning, group! I have followed with interest the various discussions on copyright issues. I have one that has just come up, and I think I know the answer, but I am looking for corroboration. We are putting in a video delivery system in a new building. As all video will be delivered from the media center, we are going to be scrupulus about observing the copyright law. Several of our foreign language teachers have copied television programs from the country they were studying in this summer. I realize copyright laws vary from country to country, but wouldn't the 10-day rule still apply to showing videos in the classroom -- whether they were taped in France or the United States? Thanks for the info on this 97-degree day.....whew!!! *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Floyd Pentlin, Library Media Specialist VOICE: 816-251-8516 Lee's Summit North High School / 901 NE Douglas FAX: 816-251-8596 Lee's Summit, MO 64086 E-MAIL: fpentlin@garfield.leesummit.k12.mo.us .............................................................................
