I would like to suggest a wonderful Christmas story book titled: _A Newbery Christmas_ This book has 14 stories of Christmas by Newbery Award-winning authors, selected by Martin H. Greenberg and Charles G. Waugh, c1991. They are wonderful; some funny, some tear jerkers. Published by Delacorte Press in New York. Mine's a large hardback, about an inch thick. Most stories would take 10-30 minutes to read aloud. The selected authors are as follows: Carolyn Sherwin Bailey (1947 for _Miss Hickory_) Beverly Cleary (1978 for _Ramona the Brave_) (1983 for _Dear Mr. Henshaw_) Eleanor Estes (1952 for _Ginger Pye_) Rachel Field (1930 for _Hitty: Her First Hundred Years_) E.L. Konigsburg (1968 for _From the Mixed-up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler_) Madeleine L'Engle (1963 for _A Wrinkle In Time_) Lois Lenski (1946 for _Strawberry Girl_) Hugh Lofting (1923 for _The Voyages Of Dr. Dolittle_) Katherine Paterson (1978 for _Bridge To Terabithia_) (1980 for _Jacob Have I Loved_) Ruth Sawyer (1937 for _Roller Skates_) Nancy Willard (1981 for _A Visit To William Blake's Inn_) Elizabeth Yates (1951 for _Amos Fortune, Free Man_) Marian S.
