Dear Netters,

        I have been asked by the district reading specialist about 3
controversial bookss for the "Battle of the Books" (required reading).

        I know "the Giver" by Lowry has received a lot of attention on the
Net.  That's the first one.  The other two are Choi's "Year of the
Impossible Goodbyes" and Card's "Ender's Game".  I'm trying to read all of
them and offer my opinion to the committee.  What do you think?
