Ancient Rome

A second and third grade class teacher wants to do a unit on Ancient Rome.
This will be their first time preparing a unit and would like to connect it
to math, drama, and other subjects.  If anyone has done a unit on this
subject or has some suggestion about activities and books and how to focus
their efforts it would be greatly appreciated.
