Info on Sirsi requested

I'm the technology coordinator from Lawrence Academy in Groton, Mass. and
we are planning to automate our card catalog.  We are considering using
Sirsi, Winnebago or Ameritech.  I have been told that Sirsi is more state
of the art then other automation systems.  Can someone out there confirm
this.  If this this is true, what makes it state of the art?  Is it a good
system to have?
