LCD panels

We have had difficulty trying to make the image of an LCD panel hooked to
a computer appear clearly on a screen.  It's much too light.  What kind of
overhead projector is necessary, and what size bulb?  What brand LCD panel
do you use?  I would love to enable my teachers to use Powerpoint for
classroom presentations- it's a great program.
