GEN: Cassette players for headphone sets

Can anyone recommend inexpensive cassette players for our elementary
classrooms.  They are mainly used for headphone sets, but sometimes for
entire classroom use.

The box kind I have ordered from supply catalogs seem to hold up longer but
they distort the sound when turned up very loud.  The less expensive version
 jam boxes from our local discount store just don't last very long before
they start to eat the tapes.
